Assign a broker to your trades and dividends
For Sharesight to know which trades and dividends should flow into which cash account — they may come from different markets and different brokers — it needs to know where each one came from. It works this out from the broker assigned to each trade.
Sharesight assigns a broker automatically if you:
- have a direct broker integration (API connection),
- have uploaded a supported broker file, or
- have forwarded your trade confirmations.
Check or set the broker on a trade: go to the holding page, open Trades & Income, select a buy or sell trade and click Edit. The assigned broker appears under the Broker section — if none is listed, you can enter it there.

Assign a broker to a whole holding (and its dividends): go to Edit Holding, select your broker under Broker/Trading Platform, and apply the changes. This also assigns your dividends to that broker, so you can sync them to the broker's cash account once you've created it.
